Awesome Purchase
The quality of this bench is top notch. It’s sturdy and not made of cheap metal or cushion. I was super impressed by everything as it came out of the box and it was also easy to assemble. Very nice piece of equipment!

Good Start to the Day
I’ve been using the Finer Form Multi-Functional Gym Bench for about 6 weeks, 5 or 6 days/week. I have been very pleased with my use of the Finer Corm gym bench. Along with my other equipment I have made a household gym in a spare bedroom. I found that it’s not one of those fast and furious assemblies. I had to get my wife to help me hold the pieces together before the bolt would go through but once assembly is done there’s no need to harp on it. I’m nearly 6′ tall and barely fit on the bench when certain exercises are done in the full horizonal position. Lastly, parts of the assembly instructions are hard to read when printed in black & white; too much detail in the pictures with no contrast.Overall I would recommend this workout bench.I would recommend this bench.

I put it together easily. Love the poster it came with to show all the different ways to use this workout bench. I framed it. A great addition to my workouts. Especially for ab routines.

Quality control
Was putting the bench together until step 2 (B) I realized the back pad support tubes did not have the appropriate hole cut out… what a headache! Safe to say no one is checking the piece to prevent this from happening before leaving the factory, I guess.

Pretty good, wish it was a slight bit wider
The poster has cool exercises but some of them dont look very practicable or maybe, I wouldnt recommend them. The core exercises, the ones I expected to be doing with this, it works great, but I am not a large person. Sometimes it feels sturdy, but a bit wobbly if you try and do a crunch off to the left or right to work obliques. Decline crunches are very impactful and its like the first time I feel like I have been properly exercising my back. Assembly wasnt hard, but I do recall doing one thing backwards but I suspect that was my fault 🙂

Good so far
Bought for the garage gym. It took less than an hour to put together but I had a couple go backs that I had to fix. The instructions are more of an illustrated part break down with order of operations than instructions. The instructions say it has a weight limit of 660 lbs. I will never have to worry about maxing out this bench. But figure it’s worth mentioning.

Check the weight and size compatibilities
It was easy enough to put together. But not really built for a taller guy, bench isn’t long enough and my head hangs past no matter how far down I slide. And never got around to trying out the AB workout on it (like the display photo above) because my 75lb 11 year old tried it first and the wood inside the cushions started making cracking noises and I was about to attempt it. So if you’re buying for your kids or if you’re a smaller thin person with no muscle mass whatsoever this might be perfect for you. Otherwise I would scroll on past this product.

Update: Two major Issues addressed
Update April 14, 2019: After a couple weeks of airing out the bench, because of the strong noxious odors, I have raised my review from 3 to 4 stars. It is well built, although I would caution anyone considering purchasing this ab bench to be careful of the plastic pedals that are supposed to aid in feet leverage. I tried using the plastic orange foot rests under my feet, only to have them slide out from under me, they are not only useless, but dangerous as well.First of all, when I first opened the box, which had no straps securing the lid to the bottom, the overwhelming chemical smell knocked me off my feet. It took a few days to off-gas, but eventually the smell mostly went away, but I still don’t like the thought of breathing toxic fumes. Second of all, it is sturdy. I’m 6 foot tall and 230 lbs, the bench portion is 39 inches long and my head does not touch the floor, although it is close. I am impressed with it’s sturdy build, and it didn’t take that long to assemble. That said, here are the two major issues, besides the toxic smell:1. The Supporting Pad Tube is difficult to adjust (up/down), and can even get stuck. One major problem is the pull-knob, which is initially assembled by threading it into the Front Supporting Tube. If the pull-knob is screwed into the tube all the way, the threads will actually protrude inside the tube, thus acting like a brake, or even a stop for the sliding Supporting Pad Tube. Upon initial assembly, this problem is not apparent, and can lead to a struggle in trying to adjust the height of the Supporting Pad Tube.2. Although there are no images or promised videos of how this bench is supposed to be used, it does look like abdominal crunches can be performed while laying on the bench and placing your knees over the Supporting Pad. Well, this is easier said than done. At 6 foot tall, I could barely lay my knees over the Supporting Pad and have my feet hook the “Swing Tub” – yes, they call it “tub”, not tube (the circular pads). I did find that reversing the Supporting Pad Tube allowed me to hook the Swing Tube much easier, but the lack of cushion was harder on the back of my knees.I did see that the manufacturer responded to another reviewer, that they are working on a new design. They also promised to produce professional videos as to how to use the bench, but easier said than done.

Bench too Short, but effective
It took me a few months to take it out of the box. Putting it together by myself was fine. Until….I got to the last hand bar to put in and it was not in the box. I have sent a message through Amazon two weeks ago and haven’t heard back. I went to finer Form Website and could not find a way to contact them. I may have missed it, but I am stuck with one hand bar thus far.The bench is too short. I am 5’7 and have to sit on an unstable part (head rest) just to scoot down far enough to lay back without hurting my neck on the hand bar/foot portion. But…once I am able to maneuver (without breaking the head rest), I can do a proper workout.Although the bench is too short and the hand bar is missing, there is such potential for this bench. Once I figured out how to position my body to do the side crunches, I began to like the bench more. Two weeks after using the bench and minor kettle weights, I am seeing very strong results (mostly from the bench exercises). Can anyone advise on how to contact the company to get the second hand bar? Doing my reverse curls and leg lifts is a MUST and extremely difficult to do so with one hand bar.I have given 3 stars due to the missing hand bar which hampers my work outs and the bench being too short, hurting my neck to get into position.I would give a solid 4.5 stars just to have the hand bar therefore increasing my work out capabilities.UPDATE: I got the replacement part and am loving my bench, minus the fact it is about 4-5 inches too short for me at 5’7.

Is it sturdy for heavy guys
Yes, after assembly which the instructions were nicely laid out. I being 300+ pounds did my first back extensions on this bench. Nothing of the bench changed, no warping or creaking. It was solid in applications from dumbell, butterfly, and crunches. I’m super excited to work out on it more. It’s narrow profile is great for not requiring too much room. Great for small open spaces.

Seems like quality control has improved
Ordered one day and received the next. Packaging was good and arrived undamaged. All parts were in the box. All bolts, nuts, washers and wrenches were included. Assembly was a little less than an hour and the instructions were good enough to understand but could have used a few more up-close assembly pictures. The bench is sturdy and stable. Looking forward to years(?) of great workout use. Having read some of the other more negative reviews, I headlined this as “Seems like quality control has improved”.

Wobbly
It’s really something that you get what you pay for here. It’s not a bad bench, maybe okay for someone who is new to working out and doesn’t want to spend the extra on a higher quality for now. It is a little wobbly all around, but nothing dangerous. It does not incline, so keep that in mind. For the Black Friday price, it’s ok. I wouldn’t recommend any other time for this cost, you could definitely get better equipment for the regular price. Disappointed bc the reviews were decent. I’ll be keeping it only bc to send it back would require taking it apart and I no longer have the box. 5/10. Wouldn’t recommend to most people.

Slightly Wonky
My boyfriend and I were excited to order this, as we live in an apartment, with limited space for a bunch of workout equipment. We wanted it for the bench press, so we could lift weights, and I really was eager about the Roman chair feature. Some pointers I’d like to give, before you decide to order and/or assembly of this:1. I suggest you assemble it upside down and not the way the diagrams show in the manual, and don’t fully tighten all of the screws/lugnuts, until it’s fully assembled (I was able to assembly by myself, but a helper would’ve made things easier).2. Having your own lugnut wrench & bits is a huge plus.3. As far as the instruction manual, it seems like a page is missing, because it entirely skips when to apply the headrest; but you’ll figure it out, because it’s really a no-brainer.4. Don’t expect the Roman chair feature to be as stable as the one provided in a gym. The leg press frame is a real obstacle, IMO.All I can say is, you get what you pay for. Maybe I’d be happier with it, if I had a harder floor surface, as our apartment is carpeted.

Mostly easy to assemble
The directions were simple so most of the assembly was easy. The leg press frame’s holes were not properly predrilled so they were a little off when trying to insert the ball lock pin. It fit easy through one side but not the other. I tried flipping the press frame pad upside down, but it was the same problem. Without the pin going through both sides, the frame is really unstable. I was able to tap the pin through with a hammer, but I will never be able to pull the pin to adjust it and put it back in. I tightened the adjustment know for the support pad assembly by hand as tight as I could, but the pad assembly collapsed terrifyingly with the slightest amount of pressure. I had to get a pair of pliers and really crank down on it to tighten so the pin on the knob fit snugly through the holes. Without being able to fix those two things, the abdominal exercises and back extensions which attracted me to this bench would have been useless. The only other piece of advice I have is to pay attention to the part of the instructions that say not to tighten everything until the bench is completely assembled. That is a good tip with most products you need to assemble yourself. If you tighten screws/bolts as you go, things get pulled out of alignment. Lightly screw pieces in, then go back and tighten

A little weak
If you buy this, add some kind of a cross brace under the top end of the knee/leg pads. The wood inside one side of mine cracked when I was just trying to get up from doing decline presses. The piece inside is thin, and the overhang way too far, I put a short piece of unistrut across under the end and it seems to be holding up OK.It’s not the best design, but it works fairly well, and it is easy to move around. It doesn’t have enough decline for my purpose, but I found that it hooks onto the end of my other bench to lift the foot up nicely.I’m 6’2″, and my head hangs off the end, I’m going to drill new holes to move the head pad down a bit.The bench pads are nice and firm.Mine had two extra washers, but was missing one nut. Got it at Home Depot.

Parts needed some work
Package arrived with all parts although one piece made of metal was misshaped and required me to file it down to fit into the assembly. Luckily it worked as Amazon did not offer any replacement parts and would require me to disassemble and ship it back for a refund.Took about an hour to assemble.Have read other reviews and noticed others had a similar experience. Be sure you have all pieces before starting assembly or you will need to make some runs to the hardware store.Despite the issues, once assembled it is a sturdy and well functioning bench.

Great decline bench
Took about an hour and a half to put together and I had 2 extra washers left over (one small, one large). The backboard is not wobbly at all, but the round leg holder and hand bars are. I have no doubts about them not disconnecting during use. However, I do wish the hand bars were pre-molten together to prevent the wobbling and wish the distance between them was narrower. The bench works very well for decline and Roman crunches, which are the main 2 exercises I’m going to use this for.

Solid multipurpose bench
Quality product. Assembly takes 30-45 minutes, give or take, but it’s straightforward and simple. And everything needed to do it right is included (the assembly tools are strong enough to get the job done). Once built, the bench is pretty versatile and sturdy. I’m 6’2” and 200lbs and the bench is fine for me, even when doing hyper extensions.

Love the bench: Superb Seller!
Updated Review: The seller responded to my review by offering not just the difference, but a FULL refund! I am way more than satisfied about this! I love the bench, it’s very sturdy and well built and the seller is responsive and considerate. It took about an hour to assemble.Original Review: I wanted to buy this when it was on sale for $150 on 12/31/23. I forgot, so on 1/1/24 I looked and it jumped up in price to $179. Well…..I still wanted to give it a shot. It arrived today a week after ordering, and what do I see? It’s on sale again, for $150. THE DIFFERENCE OF A WEEK. I feel ripped off. I would be more than willing to make this a 5-star review if the seller could make this right.I love the bench and it’s very sturdy for two of us between 250-310lbs.

This really, really helps
As long as you’re using it often, this really does help. It truly helps my back so much! I can be almost unable to stand straight and then get on this and just melt and feel so much better immediately. My neck extender/back extender muscles have grown and become so much better, more limber, helping my posture so much. I’m working on my abs a lot with this, and the progress has been great so far! My obliques and abs feel great!I mainly got this to help with my back and my posture. I’m in my mid-30’s and have had back problems my entire life due to minor scoliosis. I’m attempting to use this to correct that by being able to focus on specific muscle groups that need to be worked on rather than have other muscles making up for their weakness, in turn debilitating me sometime in the future. I’ve had this for about ~6 weeks now and, slowly working up in variety of exercises as well as reps/time, I feel great so far. This will be a long journey that will last my entire life but with this bench, I really feel like I can take it on!

Disappointed!
The media could not be loaded.
Shipping took a little longer than expected but I was still excited to receive my new bench! I began to assemble it immediately although my excitement was quickly taken away within the first 2 minutes of set up. One of my arc washers had too much of an arc and would not allow for the nut to screw on when assembling the front base. This was easily fixed by replacing with an extra washer I had around the house. I then realized that one of my flat washers were missing (only had 9 not 10). Luckily I had another extra washer around the house. While completing the last step I could not insert one of my handle bars into the support frame. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM I HAVE WITH THE BENCH. The left support frame hole is not large enough to insert the handle bar as seen in the video. Both handle bars can fit into the right hole so the problem is not the bars. This is very disappointing as the handle bars were the main reason I purchased this bench to assist with decline sit ups. The bench will look very stupid with only one handle bar so I am not able to use either and defeats the purpose of me purchasing this bench.I have not had the chance to use the bench yet as all of the problems I’ve experienced have been quality assurance errors that should have been caught. Bench is poorly made which makes it hard to assemble. Very disappointed in this bench not sure if I will be incorporating it into my workouts.UPDATE: I reached out to customer service and notified of the damaged support frame. I was quickly sent a new support frame less than a week. Assembly was very quick as it was one of the final steps. Customer service is great!!

Great value
This is not a commercial gym quality item (if you’re looking for that, there are other, more expensive benches), but it’s fairly close and it’s excellent for home use. The metal is a fairly heavy gauge and welds appear to be of good quality, with an excellent finish. The bench is stable and balanced well (I’m over 200 lbs. and have no trouble with it) in the various positions, yet it weighs less than I thought it would. The only negatives are:1. I’ve seen better assembly instructions. While I was able to assemble the bench without any difficulty, the language could have been more clear, the part names more intuitive, and the drawings a bit small and cluttered. If you’re the type of person who prefers to bypass the instructions and try to figure out how the pieces go together on your own, you’ll probably be better off because reading the instructions might just add confusion. The company should reconsider their technical writing standards.2. The red, plastic footrests are probably more of a nuisance than a help. They’re not attached to the bench–they only sit on top of the bench’s support footing–and they’re likely to get kicked aside any time you move the bench (or could even get lost). They’re not critical to the operation of the bench, but it’s an unfortunate cheap element to an otherwise nice design.3. There are no instructions on how to use the bench. I’ve already used a similar bench and knew exactly how to do so, but some people may purchase this item and not be familiar with the exercises and/or proper techniques. The instruction manual didn’t talk about how to actually use the bench–only how to assemble it–and there were no pointers to websites or other resources. This isn’t critical–a simple web search can find videos and descriptions of what to do, but the company could have easily provided a link to a web page or video resource. This represents a missed opportunity.Overall, given the price of this item compared to its peers, and given the high overall quality, I’d definitely recommend this product.

Quality is good
Purchased this bench mainly for the ability to do back extensions. Some of the reviews had me concerned so here is my experience. There were no chemical smells at all. There was no damage to any of the parts and all my parts fit together without any problems. The welds were all good quality as shown in the picture. The package with the hardware and bolts arrived split open. Wether that was from shipping or tampering I do not know. This package was contained in a shipping envelope but 3 of the flat washers were missing and I had to use washers from my own supply. Easy for me but if you don’t have them it will mean a trip to the hardware store. I felt I could not give 5 stars with parts missing. They have included a small combination wrench and one of the two Allen wrenches required but you will need your own 5mm Allen wrench to assemble. A metric socket set makes the job easier. I am 6’1″ 215 pounds. The bench only weighs in around 40 pounds but I feel secure doing back extensions or situps with no movement or shaking of the bench. My head just rests on the headrest and the leg rests seem just high enough for back extensions at the highest setting. If you are taller than 6′ 1″ you may need a bigger bench. This bench is very good at it’s price point. It is easy to move around and I like the cushions being covered and not just cheap foam. It took roughly 40 minutes to assemble and the basic instructions they send are sufficient if you have any assembly experience. If all the parts had made it to my house it would have been 5 stars easily.

Great for price!
I bought this in desperation for a proper bench to work out at home. When it came in, I was excited to put it together but I intuitively knew this was guna be tricky. I’ve put loads of things together before, but the instructions were not clear enough. The instructions were honestly terribly displayed and didn’t describe what to do one step at a time, which is what I prefer so as to make sure I don’t miss something or don’t screw it up.When I got a few things together, I had noticed I messed up three things because again, the instructions didn’t highlight the steps I missed very well. It’s not terrible but not great instructions-wise.Once I finally got it done in 2 hours, I gave it a whirl and to my surprise, it works VERY well. I love the durability and the stability. The only thing I’m not happy with is it wriggles now and then when using it, but it’s not that bad. It’s honestly a decent bench and will make your work out go smoothly. I’m only 5 foot so this bench is short people friendly, but I’m not sure how it will work for those that are taller. All in all, it’s a good bench and does the job! 🙂

This bench is amazing!!
Oh my gosh so this thing is absolutely amazing I needed something that didn’t take up a lot of space. And wasn’t a waste of my money and would actually help improve my body. As for assembly it was very easy even my 10 year old helped me put it together. Has so many workout moves you can do with this thing without being super large I really wanted to work out bench and I also wanted an advent so two and one just seemed too good LOL. I also got mine on Amazon warehouse for a very good deal on here and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it except for one thing where they forgot to drill a hole through one of the pieces where you attach the seating bench on but it is absolutely not rickety it is very sturdy and it hasn’t stopped it from working very very well. I’m a full-time single mom so I don’t have a babysitter to be able to go work out at the gym but I don’t want that stop me I’m always trying to look for a cool gadgets and things that I can actually really find that don’t take up a lot of space I also got to pull up bar from Amazon warehouse that I fit between the walls and I hung it up in my closet and that works great for Pull-Ups I’ve gotten Great deals on heavyweights and dumbbells and bands. And I will say that one time I invested in a large home gym machine and I’m getting rid of it cuz I got sick of it taking up so much space even though I enjoyed using it I found that I have more progress with free weights and I will say I love this bench way more than that expensive home gym that I had! only disappointment that I will say I’m so sorry tall people but I don’t think this will work for you I really hope that they build something similar to this for taller people because I think everybody should be able to enjoy this thing it is absolutely awesome but I do feel that if I was taller it wouldn’t work out I’m five five tall and it seems to fit perfectly for me all the way it has adjustments to it but it works great for my 10-year-old as well when I adjust it who’s obviously a lot shorter than me. Also I suggest looking up the workouts on Google for this machine because they don’t show you all the workouts that you can do and there is a lot of them it doesn’t even show you about the handlebars that you can grab onto to do this AB move I’ve been working out for years I should know all the names to the workout moves LOL but I don’t so I’m just going to call it the ab move. Although I am disappointed that that move that it shows you with the first one that she does that looks good for your butt it didn’t feel like too much of a workout but everything else did!

Good bench, poor assembly instructions & parts labeling
Once assembled the bench seems stable, solid, and works as expected. My main complaints are two;1: The manual they ship with it is outdated.2: The assembly nuts & bolts are shipped in 4 bags with no other labeling and the labeling on the bags in no way represents what’s in any manual.I took a picture of the parts and sent it to FinerForm, and they were able to label the parts in a manner that I found useful (I’ve attached it for those who want to see that labeling). They also sent an updated manual, where the main difference is the set of ten bolts is now a set of six and four as opposed to a set of ten in the prior manual.Their support people were very responsive so if you’re willing to work with them you should be able to get it done.I was able to perform the assembly with minimal stress after that, but it might be difficult for others who aren’t used to doing mechanical tasks like this.I’d say if the parts were properly labeled the assembly would be pretty easy, but as it is now the situation makes it a bit complicated. But the end result is a good weight bench at a decent price.

Small for a 5’10” person
Foot platforms for back extensions and side bends are extremely small and inadequate. They’re “Ok” if you’re wearing shoes but if you’re barefoot like I am most of the time in my upstairs home gym they are very uncomfortable. When laying down on the bench to do crunches my head hangs off the edge about 5 inches. So I have to come down real slow to avoid possible neck injury. The bench also needs another notch to take it from flat to inclined. It only has two decline notches for crunched and no incline notch for free weights. The support pad adjustment is a threaded bolt witches annoying to unscrew and screw back down to adjust the height of the support pads. The female threads on the front upright frame aren’t long enough and the bolt falls out half the time before you can thread it out far enough to get the support pads to adjust up and down. For something that is going to be adjusted as much as it is, they should’ve just used a slid pin like they did for the leg press frame, shown in the picture. Lastly the head pad is cocked to the right. This does not affect the functionality but also is not aesthetically pleasing and it is not adjustable. All and all I am happy with my purchase even though it may sound like I’m not. A good purchase for the price but it definitely has some design flaws. I would not recommend this product for someone taller than myself if they want to use it for crunches, unless they were to offer a head pad that is extended.

Decent
Easy to put together for the most part. But immediately afterward it broke the very first time I used it. (One of the pads broke) Not too happy about that…..

Sturdy
Was very easy to assemble and sturdy. It would be nice if the bench was a little longer. I am 5’11and my head doesn’t completely fit on the bench.

High weight limit but small
Fairly easy to put together but still took me a while. Bought this with my husband in mind as something we could both use, but it’s definitely only big enough for me and our daughter. My husband is 6’3. It says it’s weighted to 660 lb but I just don’t see it. I would say probably 5’7 5’8 tops for most people with the size of this despite the weight limit.

Looks Great
Ordered about a week ago and received it today. Assembly was pretty straightforward, I suggest reading the directions a couple times to be sure everything is assembled as it should be. The tools provided to assemble aren’t great. I used my own personal ratchet and allen wrench set and breezed through with no issues. All the bolts, washers and pieces are either labeled or easily identified with the users manual. Once put together the bench feels solid and looks great. Had a bit of an issue with the pre-drilled holes in the back support, one of the holes seems to be off. I tried assembling as stated in the directions but once complete the bolt and washer fell right out of one of the holdings. Most likely will need to either disregard that bolt or try working it again tomorrow. Overall, even with the missing bolt the bench is sturdy, good quality and has a ton of capability. A lot of different workouts you can do on this thing. Tested a few already, looking forward to really breaking it in. Giving 5 stars for now, will update again after putting it to the test!

helped with my back pains
This is an amazing product. It helped me exercise my back muscles that helped me fix my back pains. Just be careful with the rectangular pads. They are just strong enough for the exercises that it is designed for. DON’T try to let yourself down from the standing position to the sitting position to perform a sit up otherwise you will break the rectangular pads.

Pretty good
I was a bit bummed out that I was missing the mm5 hex wrench but I made it work. So I got it assembled no problem. The pictures helped a lot cause it’s clearly labeled with numbers and all. Has a wonderful diagram. It’s a bit wobbly but it’s because I’m missing a wrench. But all and all it’s perfect for me.

nice quality and really good customer suport
This product is really a great value considering its quality. It did come with a superficial defect on the headrest that did not impact usability, but right out of the box I was kind of disappointed enough to write and explained and imaged them on the problem. They replied within a day, saw the imperfection and said they would ship a replacement part immediately (which they did!) They were very professional in every way.. Kudos to them..

Stable and Great for the price!
The media could not be loaded.
I was missing 1 screw(19-2) but was able to pick one up, instructions aren’t good so watch video before you start! I tried it out and love it. Didn’t realize it didn’t have incline options but that was my bad. I still am happy with my purchase!

Naw! Not For Me
I’ve been using the Finer Form Multi-Functional Gym Bench for my workouts, and it has some good features but also a significant drawback. The bench is versatile, allowing for a full all-in-one body workout, and it’s easy to adjust for different exercises. However, I’ve found it to be kind of wobbly, which can be concerning, especially during intense workouts. For a bigger person, this lack of stability might be a deal-breaker. While it has its benefits, I wouldn’t recommend it if you need a rock-solid, stable bench for your workouts.
