Great cable machine
This work out cable machine is a good alternative to having many weights in your home. This cable machine has many attachments that does well to work out different muscles in your body. I typically use it for squats, tricep, bicep, shoulder. You do need to have this plugged in so keep that in mind when want to place this in your home. It has many resistance levels so its great to use as you get stronger.

Good “addition”
First off…. Im a 230lb bodybuilder, I bench 4 plates and squat a lot too but I also have 2 teenage boys that are trying to impress the ladies so we have an entire household of review in one here. Ill be quick…Kids love it, flat out they do. We dont have the bench attachment is their only gripe so the exercises are limited but they’re able to get a solid pump and feel like they’re “getting buff” buy using it.Me? Its good for a pump and thats about it, Im definitely not going to bodybuild on this thing but not everyone has multiple gym memberships and works out like me at 230lbs so I ABSOLUTELY will not dock the product for that fact. Its definitely good for a pump before you get into a pool or go out for a date etc. for a typical bodybuilder. The good is its extremely flexible and I can absolutely see a lot of folks getting in shape with a proper program and dedication using it, the lack of negative really hurt for me but it wont for most people. They’ve conducted studies at universities over positive vs negative training and you definitely want positive vs negative if you had to choose.Negatives would boil down to the accuracy of weight, its not very accurate. But honestly who cares? I dont. To me you should go the the point you get fatigued at the target rep range, who really cares if the LCD shows a different number than you can push at the gym? Your muscles dont, thats for sure.Overall its a NICE piece of equipment that offers a LOT of flexibility in exercises for a fairly cheap price. I have zero regrets getting one and my boys love it.

Pretty versatile
It comes with tricep-rope, barbell, ankle strap, pretty versatile in terms of training different muscles.Quality-wise it looks very sturdy and pretty smart with the computer and app built in it. The computer part charges pretty fast as well. It’s quite heavy though hard to move around, which is good as for stability but also hard to move around, need to slide it on the floor. It works pretty well for me as I dont really enjoy going to the gym as it’s too time consuming for me (traffic and waiting to use the machines) so this works out great for me. Worth the money.

It’s just okay
There is a very loud beep every time you change resistance levels, it is very annoying. It is not compact, it is very bulky. Other than that, it works great.

Easy home gym solution
This Smart Home Gym Cable Machine has completely transformed my fitness routine. Its compact design and 220LBS resistance capacity make it a versatile and space-saving solution for full-body strength training. With the ability to replace multiple pieces of equipment like dumbbells, barbells, and resistance bands, it’s truly a one-stop fitness solution. The app does need some more improvements, but I do recommend it to anyone looking for convenience, efficiency, and exceptional results in their home workouts.

Excellent for small spaces and basic resistance training.
We ordered this little home gym to help motivate us into working out more with resistance. So far, it has been wonderful. The controls did take some getting used to, but are very manageable, even for first time users. We appreciate the different accessories that allow multiple types of grips for mixing up workouts and getting more muscle groups engaged.Having said that, I wouldn’t call this a “total gym”. There are many resistance exercises that cannot be done on this machine. UniTop does have an accessory to this U-Trainer coming out that essentially turns it into a bowflex light. I am looking forward to trying it out and think it will add a lot more functionality to this machine while maintaining a small package and footprint. The only real drawbacks to this machines so far, beyond recognizing that it’s limited and not a “total” gym, are the resistance settings, need to place the whole machine near an outlet for charging, and reduced resistance on return motions. The resistance settings are in Kg, not pounds, which took some getting used to. The battery can be removed, but has to stray in the machine to be charged. This means that you either need to run a cord across the room, or position the machine very near an outlet. Luckily, we have a nearby outlet, but it could be an issue if you do not. Lastly, the machine provides even resistance when pulling, but much less resistance on the return. In this way, it’s not really the same workout as using free weights. This is a minor gripe for us, but could be a big deal for someone else depending on their workout needs.Overall, we are very happy with the U-Trainer. It does have some limitations, but we have found that every piece of fitness equipment we have used has some sort of drawback or limitation. If you need a compact machine for basic resistance training, this really is a great choice.

It’s a shame because
It’s a shame because this is so well made ,including the accessories. Notcheap accessories.First problem, it doesn’t go to one hundred lbs, resets when it reaches 81lbs everytime.Plus the movement is VERY ROUGH,NOT SMOOTH AT ALL and all weight measurements are way off.20lbs feel like 50lbs ,all lbs are off and nothing is smooth.Downloaded app and made an account and verified email but can’t log in because app won’t load ! Maybe they didn’t have Samsung Fold phones in mind when designing app, because it doesn’t rotate and I have to make fonts so small to see sign in page that doesn’t even log me in.The batteries don’t work when unplugged, plus the electrical cable is too freaking short ! You have to keep it 6 inches from wall,it’s ridiculous!I gave this 12 days of trying to get it to work properly, but no. Strange thing is it does connect to Bluetooth in a jiffy, but app is garbage and won’t log me in so bluetooth is useless.Could’ve been a contender, plus it isn’t subscription base ,app is free but doesn’t work. Not happy at all.Update: still doesn’t work ,stay AWAY !

It’s ok. Free weights and resistance bands are the better choice for me
“This review is for Possono Smart Home Gym Workout Cable Machine – U-Trainer, Full Body Strength Training, 220LBS Resistance, Portable Fitness Equipment, Replacing Dumbbell, Barbells,Resistance Band,Weight Set and MoreIt’s ok. For me, this does not replace the free weights / resistance bands I already have. the machine only offers resistance on the pull, such as when you do an bicep curl. The machine will make it difficult to lift the weight, it it will offer no resistance when lowering the weight, making this less effective than freeweights. The unit feels cheap, and mine came with some damage right out of the box. There are areas where the plastic looks stressed, just from shipping.Unit quirks: The lift handle is located on the bottom, which means you need to lift it up before you can grab the handle. As far as I can tell, you can’t turn off the beeping it makes when rotating the weight dial. If you step too far toward an edge, the unit will lift off the ground, making it unsteady. If you have the space, I would recommend spending your money on weights and resistance bands.NOTE: As an Amazon Vine reviewer, I receive this product without paying for it directly; however, I have to claim the full value of this product on my taxes as this counts as a taxable gift and I must pay taxes for the taxable value of this item.”

Great Idea: Possono Smart Home Gym Review
The Possono Smart Home Gym Workout Cable Machine – U-Trainer is an excellent addition for anyone looking to streamline their fitness routine. It offers a full-body workout with 220 lbs. of resistance, effectively replacing the need for dumbbells, barbells, and more. The machine performs excellently and is surprisingly easy to move, which is a massive plus for those who like to rearrange their workout spaces or adjust positions. While the battery needs to be connected at the bottom of the unit, you can enjoy a powerful and versatile workout session once it’s set up. Overall, this machine delivers on its promise of practical strength training.

Decent gym but subscription based
Likes:Compact sizeComes assembled (for the most part)Doesn’t take up too much roomWide variety of exercisesDislikes:Subscription-based app (one month free trial)No resistance going back to the neutral positionHave to keep the unit charged or it won’t workHonestly, I’ll probably use this until my free subscription runs out and then go back to free weights. It’s really not compelling enough on its own to merit the subscription.

I wanted to like it .
This home gym is a sturdy piece of equipment .It simulates weights up to 110 pounds for each hand .The attachments are all gym qualityIt uses a small rechargeable battery to show settings .Also uses an app for your phone for more detailed info.the lifting seemed fairly smooth but not as good as at the gym .The battery charges with a USB c plug .However the batter can’t be removed to charge .it stays in the heavy unit so that you will most likely need an extension cord to have your usb power supply charge the battery .This is a big drawback .A decent piece of workout equipment …but I am not giving up gym membership for it .

Good For Some
This machine is conceptually perfect for near full body workout in a space friendly design! It’s biggest flaw is that it only produces tension during positive motion and none on negative motion. Imagine doing curls, squats or deadline where you lift the weight and then someone unloads the bar so your now lowering just the bar. It effectively only gives you half of the exercise rep! It’s a real shame as I like the rest of the design and functionality.

No assembly is needed; it is portable, and the app is a plus!
I like this cable machine since it lets me practice weight lifting without taking up much space. It is portable, and I can move it quickly. It has many attachments to doing a whole-body exercise. Adjusting the resistance is easy. The only issue I faced was the battery; it did not charge and showed full, but the machine did not work if it was not attached to a USB outlet. I might have to replace the batteries. I like this machine; It is compact and efficient.

Ideal for those upgrading their home gym with tech features.
Opening the box of the Possono Smart Home Gym Workout Cable Machine, I immediately noticed the sleek design and compact nature of the equipment. The packaging was minimalistic yet secure, indicating a nod towards being environmentally conscious without compromising on protection. The unit felt robust, hinting at a quality build that could potentially justify its price point. The Possono U-Trainer is an ambitious all-in-one fitness solution, claiming to replace dumbbells, barbells, and even entire weight sets with a single, versatile machine. With resistance up to 220 pounds and 100 levels of micro-adjustment, it is designed to cater to a wide range of fitness levels and exercise types—from strength training to sculpting.User-friendliness is a standout feature here. Setup was straightforward without needing extensive tools or an engineering degree. The included smart exercise tracking app enhances the user experience by offering real-time workout tracking and professional workout guidance. This integration of technology makes it especially appealing to those who appreciate a data-driven approach to fitness.Performance-wise, the machine operates impressively quietly thanks to its dual EMI motors, which is a significant plus for home environments where noise can be a concern. It handles smoothly, allowing for seamless transitions between exercises with minimal fuss. However, there are a few areas that could be improved. While the device offers extensive resistance options, the transition between different resistance settings could be made smoother. Additionally, despite its portability claim, the machine is still somewhat bulky and may not be as easy to transport as some might expect. From a value standpoint, given its versatility and the range of equipment it aims to replace, the Possono U-Trainer could offer good value for money, especially for those looking to consolidate their home gym into a more compact footprint.Positives of this product include its robust build, versatility, quiet operation, and the integrated smart technology. On the downside, improvements could be made in terms of resistance adjustment and actual portability. In summary, the Possono Smart Home Gym Workout Cable Machine is a commendable attempt at a home gym solution that offers a lot, particularly for those with limited space. Its ability to replace multiple pieces of traditional gym equipment, paired with smart technology, makes it a worthwhile consideration for the tech-savvy fitness enthusiast. Ideal users would be those looking for a home gym overhaul who appreciate technological integrations in their workout regimen. Whether I’d recommend it broadly depends on the consumer’s space, tech affinity, and fitness goals.

Compact home gym held back by the app
I’m recovering from heart surgery and I need to start working out to rebuild my stamina and strength. I’ve been pretty active over the years and I learned the hard way medical issues can happen at any time. Coming across the Possono home gym has been a blessing for me.I always do research on products before ordering and I couldn’t find any information about Possono. However, with a little perseverance, I found a kickstarter page for the Unitop U-trainer. The home gym is very new and just started shipping in April, 2024. There is a lot of interesting information on the kickstarter page, including the U-trainer Plus, which has an attachment to do all of the other exercises that can’t be done with the U-trainer on its own. I certainly would be interested in using the attachment. On the unitopfitness website, they mentioned changing their name to Possono. This explains why I couldn’t find any apps from Possono in the Android app store. I had to install the Unitop app by Bokang Technologies. That is the official app.The instructions to set up the U-trainer are straight forward. Basically, the battery needs to be connected, which is accessed from the bottom of the unit. Turning on the U-trainer, I was greeted with a loud beep. Manually adjusting anything on the main knob on the U-trainer emits the loud beep. I could not find a way to turn off the beeping or lower its volume. Adjusting the cable resistance requires turning the knob which will constantly beep. There are 100 resistance settings and thankfully constantly turning the knob will start changing the resistance faster. However, it is cumbersome to change the resistance with the knob. Thankfully, the resistance can be set in the app with only one annoying beep. The app is an integral part of using the U-trainer. Connecting the app to the U-trainer over Bluetooth is easy. Unfortunately, the app has a crowded and not very intuitive user interface. The main issue is the app is trying to upsell a VIP membership ($8.99/month) to enable certain features. Some features, such as creating a workout plan, should be included when buying the home gym. This type of commercialization of withholding key features is misguided in my opinion. The app has plenty of video demonstrations on how to perform various exercises. This is an important feature for new users. However, the only way I found to do a workout without paying for VIP is to use “FreeStyle” where I can set the resistance after each exercise manually.Working out with the U-trainer has been good. All of the attachments I will ever need are included. Each accessories is high quality and will last a long time. When doing a rep for the first time, the U-trainer figures out the range of motion where the exercise needs resistance. All I need to do is get into position, then pause before exercising. When I start exercising, the resistance is there. When doing an exercise low to the ground, a deadlift for example, the U-trainer doesn’t figure that out until I do one rep. I’m fine with that. The U-trainer has a safety feature to avoid yanking the cables back with force if I happen to let go of the cables. This is a great feature that can prevent injuries from occurring. The downside is there isn’t any negative resistance applied when lowering the cables. This does have an effect on the workouts, but I think it is a good trade. I’ll just do more reps or increase the resistance to compensate. The maximum resistance is 110 pounds per cable or 220 pounds total. There are 100 adjustments at 1.1 pound each. That is plenty of resistance for me.Overall, I’m very happy with the U-trainer. It is compact enough to put in front of the couch between the TV. I have no excuses not to workout. The exercises have been relatively smooth. It is not as smooth as weights and I don’t expect it to be. I’m deducting 1 star for the issues with the app and the ridiculous beeping while turning the knob. Fix those simple issues and this home gym is a winner.

Excellent Small Home Cable Gym
The Smart home cable machine is really nice. I got this so I can workout from home and not have to go to the gym. The band workouts are great for someone at my age of 50. I like that I can set the resistance easily by just twisting the dial. I have looked further into this equipment for how to videos and exercises on youtube and found that it has other equipment that can be purchased to make it a full home gym, so this is a good start with the cables and see if you like to further upgrade. I do appreciate the small gym which takes up very little space. The only thing that could be better is a longer cord. I did get a heavy duty 6 foot extension cord so I can have the machine placed beside my other gym equipment. The cable machine feels durable and well made and overall I love it and would recommend. Thank You!

Compact gym
I’m not big on home exercise equipment, but I am trying to do more with weights and I don’t want to have to deal with barbells and free weights. This machine is definitely smaller than a full weight bench, and it takes up about as much floor space as an end table. I much prefer this mechanism to resistance bands that just scare me above a certain weight. This is an important addition to our home exercise regimen.

Wow! Impressive piece of equipment!

This is incredible! I am so pumped about this piece of equipment. It’s compact and portable. It recharges with a type C. To change the weight resistance you just turn the knob – I tried to upload a video of how that works but unfortunately I can only upload one video per review. This is honestly worth every penny and I am asking myself why my husband and I didn’t invest in one of these sooner. We have a full gym and this is the PERFECT addition.

Great idea, poor execution
After using this for about a month I have some serious issues. First off, there is no resistance going back, so it’s only one way resistance. This can be great but not ideal for most exercises. Over the last month the unit is not as smooth. It feels jerky when pulling up. There is really nothing you can do for chest on this machine and other exercises feel awkward at best. Oh and it’s also subscription based. If you want to make an exercise routine, better use a pen and pencil or pay monthly at the same price as a gym membership. The good thing about this is the buttons are cool and the idea is excellent. I just really wish this was a better machine, especially for the high price.

An interesting cable workout.
The Unitop cable workout device is made to be an easy, all in one home gym unit. Similar to a Chuck Norris Home Gym but in a standing floor variation. The nice thing is there is no assembly required. It’s ready to go out of the box with multiple grip handles to choice from and you can connect any other gym handles you got lying around too.The best way to think of all the exercises, is what would you do with a barbell and dumbbell in a standing position. That will give you all the general exercises that will work in this unit. You can also get creative and combine some benches and other devices to create a jerry rigged setup for lying exercises but that seems like a bit much, unless you truly need them. The unit has a great range of resistance at the turn of a knob for ultra quick transitions. Especially nice if working out with someone else of different skill levels. Now the really big odd thing about this workout station, and they do clearly state this in the pictures on Amazon. Is that there is no negative force in the cables. So, you get full resistance on the way up but absolutely nothing on the way down. It does take some getting used to and it will still work for the muscles. But this aspect does seem to be the major flaw and making it the total complete gym experience. It just always feels like something is missing in each set. I think you at least need to combine some calisthenics with the unit just to get that negative action and some other balanced work.I find that the unit works better for some body parts more than others. It’s really fantastic for shoulder exercises and bicep movements. Rows for back work great and same with Romanian Deadlifts. Some people think you can’t get a good chest workout here but actually you have one of the best moves that can’t be done with weights. At least not in a standing position. That is the upward and outward chest press that will hit the muscles extremely well and works great for the upper chest region especially. Like the mix of a incline and fly. I use them alot on Isometric straps and you can do the same here. Try them. They will change your view on chest moves. Now the muslces that are ok with the unit are triceps and squats. Both of these you just have to have some higher resistance but that means getting to the setup point in an awkward position. Using a herky jerky way to get right. Not impossible and not like you still can’t work the muscles. Just, maybe not the most desired way. I did see a YouTube video of a lady using a belt squat device with the Unitop. The package doesn’t come with one but I wouldn’t mind trying that variation in the future. Granted, with the straight bar, zercher and front squats seem to be better choices that having to get the bar up and overhead before performing back squats. If you go with these being like bodyweight squats, with just a little bit of resistance. That is the better course of action. But yeah. Nice for the small muscle groups and works better with higher rep schemes because of the no negative resistance. You do have to change your workout mindset to more of a endurance challenge than pure heavy weight strength. Forearm curls are solid as well. And you can even crank the resistance up and utilize Isometric holds pretty decently too. Not sure if that will take a toll on the machine but they do work well too.One other issue I have is that one side is slightly rougher than the other. Which seems to always be the bane of any double cable units. Not sure if it’s just an issue on mine but because of this I just make sure to rotate my stance 180 degrees on each set. It’s just a small amount but still noticeable. I feel it more in the lighter resistance than in the heavier modes. I thought about trying some lubricant but also don’t want to mess up the machine. There is also the included App that you don’t need to use but does offer some neat features like follow along workouts and showing the different exercises to try. Giving workout stats of each exercise too. Neat stuff if you like that but once again not needed. I tried looking in the settings to see if that might be why my sides are off just slightly but didn’t find any calibration. The unit also has to be charged and only lasts about 3 workouts give or take on the battery. It won’t work with at all with no charge and they only give a short USB C cable to use. I tried an extension cord and that wouldn’t work. So I do need to move to the power plug generally after each use. But at least the unit can roll and is easily tucked under a bed if you want the space. All and all, I do like having this cable unit for an alternative workout system. For those certain muscle groups like shoulders and biceps, it’s just as good as any machine. But I don’t see it as the all in one system. More like it compliments your other workout styles like calisthenics, weights, or something to use when you are not at the gym. I would say overall it’s about a 3.5 though I can’t give it half stars. The main downsides are really just the no negative resistance, the slightly uneven sides, the short proprietary charging cable, and the price is a bit higher than other units like this. I think that app system even has a premium membership too if you wanted to add more. But it still provides some good cable workouts at home in a small, convenient sized unit. Full of quite a bit a variety to choose from in exercise choices.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!
I was really excited to use this product but the pull up bar was missing, which is the main reason I got this. I contacted customer support to get the long bar sent to me but they refused to send it and all they suggested was to purchase another machine at $460 and then wait for a refund once they receive the returned one. The tension also doesn’t change on my machine. Useless.
